Passionflower (Passiflora Incarnata) is used as a remedy for all kinds of nervous manifestations, depression, anxiety, insomnia, as it has pain relieving and sedative qualities.
Motherwort (Leonurus Cardiaca) primarily is a herb of the heart. It can temporarily lower blood pressure and relieve palpitations due to anxiety. It is used in Childbirth to reduce anxiety and calm the nerves.
Kava Kava (Piper Methysticum) is said to elevate mood, well being and contentment and produce a feeling of relaxation, therefore it has commonly been used for anxiety, stress, tension and insomnia. A mildly psychoactive beverage made from the Rhizome of the Kava Plant has been used for centuries by South Pacific Islanders, both ceremonially and socially, for its relaxing and calming properties.
